Plenty of fish are still being caught at West House. Once again most of the activity has beed high in the water with Buzzers abd dries accounting for most of the fish caught. The lakes are now open until 8.30pm for those anglers wishing to fish the evening rise. Only £8 for an evening ticket 4pm onwards.
Some big fish have been caught this week. Michael Scott of Bishop Aukland caught a 17lb Rainbow on his first cast using a Wicked White on 3lb leader. Well known competition angler Chris Micallef caught an 18lb rainbow on an Olive Worm one of 10 fish he caught in an evening session including a number of fish on small Top hat dries.
Dennis Woods landed a fish of 15lb on his first visit to the lakes much to his delight. West House regular Dr Peter Fletcher caught 15 fish including a fish from each of the 4 lakes on a recent visit on a selection of small Dries and Wets.
The lakes are now open until 8.30pm on an evening and and evening ticket is availablefor £8.
